Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
